October 06 – Committee Meeting

Committee meeting (adult leaders), 6:30pm at UMC. All adults are encouraged and welcome, please attend if possible.

October 06 – Assistant Scoutmaster Meeting

ASM meeting, 8:00 – 9:00pm at UMC. All adults are welcome to attend.

October 08 – Troop Meeting

Troop meeting, 6:30pm at UMC. Activities will include First Class and chuck box work.

October 13 – PLC Meeting

Patrol Leader Committee meeting, 6:30pm at UMC. Mandatory for all Patrol Leaders, Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Troop Quartermaster, Historian, Librarian, Troop Guide, Chaplains Aid, & Scribe.

October 16-18 Kettle Morraine Camp

Signup no later that October 08^th. Opportunities are: hiking, biking, and backpacking. See signup below.

October 22 – Troop Meeting

Troop meeting, 6:30pm at UMC. Activities will include First Aid by Mr. Tyson. Popcorn sales money is due.

October 29 – Troop Meeting

Troop meeting, 6:30pm at UMC. Activities will include Citizenship of the World by Mrs. Flores.

October 31 – Merit Badge Clinic

Held at Blackhawk Tech – Janesville, a variety of one-day merit badge courses will be available. Sign-up early at http://www.glaciersedge.org/, or contact Bill Delehanty for information. $5 fee plus materials, some prerequisites.

November 03 – Committee Meeting

November 05 – Troop Meeting

Troop meeting, 6:30pm at UMC. Activities may be divided by scout rank. Merit Badge due date for next COH.

November 12 – Troop Meeting

Troop meeting, 6:30pm at UMC. Activities may be divided by scout rank. Fundraising orders are due.

November 17 – PLC Meeting

November 19 – Troop Meeting

Troop meeting, 6:30pm at UMC. Activities may be divided by scout rank. May have a pizza and movie night.

December 04 – Signup for Hockey

Signup deadline for the January 02^nd hockey game at the Kohl Center in Madison.

Merit Badge Books, Materials, & Information

· Turn in unused Merit Badge and Scout booklets to our Librarian. These can also be checked out from the Librarian.

· Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Scouts, can you come up with a community service project or idea?

· School assignments: You can complete some Merit Badges that are being studied in your classroom.

Reminders:

· Check your e-mail for any updates and last minute information from the Troop.

· Troop meetings start at 6:30 p.m. sharp, BE PREPARED with manual, pencil, and First Class uniform.

· Parents should be asking Scouts for their agenda from Troop meetings for current information.

· “Rewards” Program at Pick-N-Save. List our troop (#065175) when signing up for the Pick-N-Save program.

· Troop 167 hooded sweatshirts and t-shirts are available – contact Wendy Miller if interested.
