Celebrating 7 Years of being the best!!!!
The beginning of summer camp in 2008 brought with it a lot of nervous scouts, not because of homesickness, but because they had a reputation and record on the line. Beginning in 2002 and fulfilled again this year, the scouts of Troop 405 have won the Camp Manatoc Retreat Banner on the first night of the first week of summer camp. The Troops are judged on uniformity, attitude and presentation at each evenings camp-wide troop report and flag lowering ceremony. Winning this honor for the seventh year in a row is a great honor for the scouts of Troop 405 and an accomplishment that they deserve to be proud of.  Troop 405 was excited to have 23 scouts in attendence at summer camp plus 1 guest scout from Troop 123 of Doylestown, plus 1 of our scouts is serving on Camp Staff and 5 adult leaders for the entire week of camp.

American Legion, Howard A. Bair,
Post #423.
 Located along the southern edge of
Great Trail Council (Akron, Ohio),
the troop participates in many activities and camping trips, including summer camp at Camp Manatoc.
In the summer of 2008, 18 scouts and adults visted the Outer Banks National Seashore in North Carolina, enjoying time on the beach along with historical tours at Kitty Hawk and Fort Raleigh.
