Troop 405
Golden Boot Award
( Can - Do Award )

What is the Golden Boot Award...
The Golden Boot Award is presented annually by the Adult Leaders of Troop 405 to a scout that demonstrates a "NEVER GIVE UP"  "CAN-DO"   attitude. Started in 2001, this award is dedicated as a memorial to all the scouts and adult volunteers that have come before us. A memorial to all the scouts that have loved and learned from Troop 405 and to the adult leaders that gave such a special part of themselves to build and maintain such a wonderful program.
Who receives the Golden Boot Award...
This award may be bestowed on a first year scout that never gives up and never complains, even when he knows he has gone beyond what his physical stature can carry.
This award may be presented to an experienced scout whose positive attitude and drive makes him shine brightly as a leader to all around him.
This award may be given to a senior scout who is fulfilling his Eagle Pledge, giving back to the troop with his own guidance and patience while teaching new young scouts.
Most of all this award is presented to a scout whose actions and/or words serve as inspiration to those around him.
