The first meeting of Troop #1326 was held on October 2003. The original members are Sarah Block, Erin Conway, Amy Rogacki, Sarah Thompson and Jessica York. These five girls chose the Troop Crest and decided to earn their Leadership Award in 2004 by coordinating the Service Unit's Annual Girl Scout Dance.
A new member was added to the Troop in March 2003. Scout, a unicorn marionette, made her first appearance at their meeting. She was proudly walked in by Girl Scout Leader Denise York. Scout hasn't missed a ceremony or parade since that night!
The girls designed their Troop's banner with a unicorn and the Girl Scout Logo. They selected the phrase "Girl Scouts Rock!" for the banner. Everyone helped cut out the letters, and on Memorial Day 2003 they proudly marched with the banner in Alden's Parade.
August of 2003 was a sad moment for the troop when Sarah Thompson moved to Baltimore, Maryland. On August 2003 we had a picnic and hike at Steglemeier Park where we said goodbye to Sarah.
Several Brownies flew up to the Junior Troop in September, 2003. We welcomed Amber Breyer, Emily Cole, Stacee Miller, Emily Shriver and Sarah Ruggles to the Troop. In October we were joined by Rachel Ludwig. December saw the addition of Morgan Koziol.
On January 7, 2004 the new girls received their troop crests and were officially welcomed to the troop. All of the girls celebrated their Rededication with the Unicorn Ceremony.
