Take a look at What's New in our Troop.
Our Junior Girl Scout Troop is located in Alden, New York. Our troop crest is the unicorn because it means mystery and magic. When our troop gathers a magic occurs as our individual gifts and talents unite. The mystery unfolds as we work to make our world a better place.
On Wednesday night January 7th we had our Rededication Ceremony. Our new troop members received their troop crests. The ceremony concluded with each girl putting her name in a pot as a sign of our unity. Our abilities, dreams and talents were mixed together and merged to create our troop. From inside the pot Sarah Ruggles pulled out a banner with a picture of the eleven girls in the troop and the following words under it:
Never doubt that a small group of committed people
can change the world . . .
it's the only thing that has.
