Beginning November 12, 2007, PLC Meeting time has been changed from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
TROOP 10 has NEW CHUCKBOXES!
On Monday, April 28, Troop10 Scouts finished putting together the awesome new chuckboxes built by Mr. Finke.

Need a green Class B tee shirt?

Troop 10 Class B tee shirts may be worn from June 1 through August 31.
New Scouts and Leaders must order one.
(I've noticed a lot of Scouts who are significantly taller than last year and might need to order a new one, also!)

Ad Altare Dei Catholic Religious Award

Kick-off Meeting

Boy Scouts entering 7th grade in Fall 2008 and older Scouts who have not yet earned the award
are invited to a meeting to explain the program and activites to full the requirements.
If you have questions or cannot attend the meeting, please contact Mrs. Griffin or Mrs. Hillis.

MAY 2008 CAMPOUT
Canoeing and Troop Induction Ceremony
May 16 - 18, 2008
Grunwald Farms Forest Preserve, Elburn, IL

Our May Campout  will combine Canoeing and the Troop Induction Ceremony for the Troop 10 Scouts who joined the troop in 2008.
Troop 10 will head out for Grunwald Farms Forest Preserve on Friday night.  Saturday, we'll canoe on the lake, repair tents.
  There may even be time for some fishing.  The ASMs who discovered Grunwald Farms Forest Preserve are very excited about this site.

Saturday afternoon at 4:00 pm there will be a picnic for Webelos Scouts, their families and the families of  the new Troop 10 Scouts.
The Webelos are invited to watch as the new Troop10 Scouts crossover to Troop 10.

Permission Slip and Fees are due Monday, May 12, 2008.

MEMORIAL DAY ACTIVITIES
Monday, May 26, 2008

Participation is required of Troop 10 Scouts who are not out-of-town.

NOTE!  The Memorial Day Parade has been cancelled this year.
                   
 5:45 a.m.
Meet at Baker Community Center, 2nd & Walnut Streets

 6:00 a.m.
Flag Ceremony and 21 gun salute at Baker Community Center


Decorate graves at St. Charles cemeteries (South Cemetery, North Cemetery, and Union Cemetery)

 8:30 a.m.
Mass at St. Patrick Church (downtown)

 9:30 a.m.
Pick up Scouts at St. Patrick Church

Permission Slip
is due at any Troop meeting in May or on the morning of the activities.

2008 CATHOREE

June 13 - 15, 2008

This year's theme is The Road of Life

The Cathoree is a great opportunity to spend time with Scouts from other Troops,
celebrating our life in Jesus.  Come for a fun time with Our Lord!  He's looking forward to enjoying the weekend with YOU.

This is a required Troop 10 Campout.
Permission Slip and Fees are due Monday, June 2, 2008.

All committees need to meet and go over their budget, we can't wait any longer.  Numbers need to be turned into the budget committee.  If you do not remember what committee you were on please contact Pat M. or Jeff J.  Pat M. needs a call from each committee letting him know their progress and when they plan to meet.  Pat  would like all the numbers in by Monday, May 5th.

PROTECTING GOD'S CHILDREN
Protecting God's Children is required of all adults who are involved with Scouting or any other work with children at St. Patrick Parish and in the Rockford Diocese.  This is required of all adults who are Troop 10 leaders, committee members, parents who drive Scouts, and parents who camp with Scouts.  All Troop 10 parents are encouraged to attend a Protecting God's Children Session.
